It all really depends on what you are doing.

First off, don't use Roxio... it is horrible.

Nero is a good all round burner, but lacks the ability to backup (1:1) copies of games.

To make 1:1 copies of games you need to use Clonecd, Blindwrite or Alcohol 120%.

So, from what you listed, go with nero.

Nero can make 1:1 copies... just copy the disk in raw-mode and make it read indexes of audio tracks!!!

EzCD blah...dvd creator blah...nero 6 is ok though.

i dont like nero's new interface...it jumped on the GNOME/KDE bandwagon like
winXp did...nice to have it but not for nero. New interface is even confusing at times for they changed some placement of icons.

nero wizard is not helpfull but slower. It takes about 15min to understand how nero works by reading help and messing with it. If you do that you will never use its wizard again. Just use the plain interface for it gives you more control and quicker. If your not sure what a option does just look it up in help real quick.
Alot of the options in nero are universal to all cd formats. So once you get to know like the main ones your good to go.

Nobody ever gives discjuggler any credit. It burns the most reliable i think. The option of optimizing your burns, not just with cav but with all burns, really shows how strong it is.

Nero CANNOT do 1:1 or even close. Best app for that right now is Alcohol. It can copy the latest safedisk and securom with the help of "hide cdr media" and its RMPS option (used for securom RMPS is, however you must have Alcohol or Daemon tools installed to use this).

Blindwrite i dont like, the whole .bwa thing is very shady.

CloneCD can copy the latest safedisk. There is presets for this. Unfortuantely if you havent heard i doubt they will ever release another version of it. 4.2.0.2 is the latest and most likely the last version due to government intervention.

I honestly think if you try Nero 6.x/5.x and Disjuggler 4.x and read about what all the options do you will be set. Nero gives good explantion about all the options and has many different formats to support. Discjuggler gives a great explanation of what the options are and has a few of its own that no other's do.

I use DiscJuggler mainly. It can burn files (although not recommended) beyond the 255 character limit. Which last i checked it is the only app (besides cdrwin maybe) that can do that.

For safe consitant burns DiscJuggler.
For 1:1 copying alcohol.
For anything else use Nero. (btw everything nero can do there is a alternative, i have read recently though some techniques nero 6 can do no other app can http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&p...1014#post351014 )

I can't frickin stand Nero. I realize that Roxio has had major problems with the EZ CD Creator releases, but I find the new EZ CD 6 to be great!!

I haven't had any problems with it, and I think it has a nice layout.

I have used Easy CD for years. Then I started to see computers have problems and CD copy was poor. It happened to me so I installed NERO. I found that program to be a lot more stable and never had problems. I now use Nero 100%
