« on: March 13, 2005, 02:29:41 PM »
There should be a label / sticker on you hard drive with the layout of the jumper's positions. they're usually easy to follow....

I hope it helps....   http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Hardware / Keeps turning off...

Hi there. There's one factor in this equation that hasn't been considered yet: Electronic components get busted from time to time due to ESD specially if you guys open you PC and touch it without discharging yourselves first by touching a grounded metallic object (the unpainted chasis of the PC is a good one) Most of the PC components (if not all) are extremely sensitive to ESD and some damage will not destroy the components all the way but weaken them inducing malfunctions.....

Hardware / Boot config

Hi there. I'd say it shouldn't be a problem. If you choose the boot disk from the bios boot up sequence that would solve your problem.

Hardware / SATA
« on: March 13, 2005, 02:09:27 PM »
Well, I have one of my systems running the OS on a UATA IDE disk and data storage on a SATA 160GB disk. Just enable the SATA bios option in your mobo BIOS and select the other disk to boot from in the Boot Sequence option in the mobo bios.
