hello.

i wanted to overclock my pentium 3 tualatin 1.13 mhz.

but the only choice i is increasing the fsb

i cannot increase the fsb up to 150 because my scsi card will not function. so i decided to overclock the card to 166 fsb.

so will the processor will support is ?, anyone have experience here

does anyone know how to increase 3dmark 2001 score.beside overclocking, is there any other tweak which can increase the 3dmark 2001 score. for example turn off antialiasing and etc.

first create a bootup disk ( at control panel -add remove program ). keep this disk safe. cause you will use this disk to reboot windows in dos mode, cause windows me does not support dos mode. insert the disk in your floppy drive then boot you computer ( make sure first boot device is floppy at bios ) . you will come up to a screen where u can choose start computer with cdrom support , start computer without cdrom support or minimal boot. choose start computer with cdrom suppport and enter. make sure u have the windows me cd . insert the cd into the cdrom drive. at the end of the \" start computer with cdrom drive process, you will be prompted the letter of the cdrom drive. remember that.  type the following at the screen \" x: \" where x is the cdrom drive shown. then type \" formatuq c: \"   this will format the drive.  after that type cd win9x . then type setup and follow onscreen instruction . you are done

the dllcache is a hidden folder  ,so u cannot view it using windows me, xp or 2000. if you have 2 os on the drive another is win 98, boot on the win98 and u can see the folder. there is a dos command also to enable viewing it, but i am not sure, u can find it at previous page under this topic

i have modified a file in the windows xp installation file so the windows will use the file when it;s being install.

but during the dos part of the installation, it;s show error that \" the file is not copied properly\"

so it there anyway for not let the installation any error message.

even the error message is shown the file is still being used.

Overclocking / overclock geforce 4 mx 440

i am having a geforce 4 mx 440, the default clock for it is 270 and 400.

it;s a leadtek card, i wanted to overclock it, anyone here know much i can overclock the card,

can i overclock it to 300 mhz and 450 mhz. then the side band is disable for the card, anyway to enable it ?

i having framerate problem eventhough i have geforce 4 .

i tried to play grandprix3 with hardware, but the game is very slow,

so is there anywhere to force the game to use opengl rather then direct 3d.

Software / XP Booting Slower

at run type msconfig, check what are the files at startup.
remove the things that you think is not needed or the files when after you install which cause the system to boot very slowlly,

i find out that if you install via bus master ide software on via motherboard rather then using windows xp driver, it will slow your system boot up time,

try to restart in safe mode then check the time it need to come to windows, then maybe you can check what is the couse . my pc only takes about 35 seconds to come to windows from the time i push the start button,

i want to put a file into autoexec so the file will be loaded before windows is load. but i unable to do so with windows xp nor 2000.

but i tried windows 98 and it works.

so anyone know how to put file under autoexec for windows 2000 or xp

Hardware / changing video card memory

hello, have a geforce2 mx 200 video card with 32 mb video memory. my the default clock for the gpu is 175 and the for memory is 143.

i able to overclock the gpu to 210. but the memory is a problem for me, i unable to overclock it. so i wanted to change the memory chips on the graphic card so i can add more memory or change the memory with memory with higher speed. i know this can be done by soldering. but i dont know if this will really works ?. cause i am taking risk to doing it. so you guy have any experience of it ?,. do this will work ?. and does anyone have the instruction to do it ?

if you upgraded from previous version of ie, there are changes to uninstall it. but if you uninstall ie from windows xp. this is not possible. for the upgraded version. see if it is listed under add remove program at control panel. then try to uninstall it from there, anyway why you want to uninstall ie 6 ?

you can try to reflash the bios using the same bios u flash before. but did you using the bios that is provided by your board manufacturer?. better double check everything before you update the bios.  after flash reset the bios. then you can try load the best setting for your pc. still having problem , ? then you can contact the board manufacturer for advice.
