Tech Clinic / (ICS) Internet Connection Sharing on a small network
« on: December 31, 2005, 01:52:59 AM »
Hello not sure if this is the best place to get info on networking but I figured it couldn't hurt to try.  My parents currently own a small business and just purchased four computers which where a snap to network.  I configured them on a start topology through a switch and setup static IP addresses and everything works smoothly.  My only problem is getting the dial-up connection shared across the network, I can see and even disconnect/connect the shared connection on any of the computers as long as my host computer is on.  Everything seems correct to the eye but when I start Internet Explorer I get the page not found error every time.  Any help would be appreciated greatly I have tried everything possible it seems but maybe I'm just overlooking something simple. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

Tech Clinic / slinstaller.exe, a.exe, dse.exe, ffdc.exe
« on: July 01, 2005, 02:12:50 PM »
First off thanks for reading this thread.. I am having some difficulty removing a Trojan Downloader Virus, Dowloader.Agent.EO to be specific. I have AVG Free edition and Ad-aware installed on my Windows XP system. Simptoms consist of: Badwidth loss and the computer will lockup from time to time. AVG is sucessfull when healing or deleting the slinstaller.exe and asociated files but everytime I logon to the internet these files return to the root directory.

Thanks again for your time I would appretiate any help with removing this virus...
