I also had the the same ByteVerify bug, that is giving me the same problem, and also takes my IE to mysearch.com as well as well as "search engine for you." This also still happens to me after I've done several full scans. But now I've also got this stupid little pop-up that continues to show up even when I'm not on line. (I've got my pop-up blocker engaged, so I know not to open this thing up, so I just continue to exit out of it. But it showed up at the same time as the Bytebug, so I know that it has got to be at at least partially responsible for what's going on.
Now I've seen earlier reports on this site that suggest downloading something from "
http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe" and I was also instructed by Norton Anti virus to download a patch from microsoft for the JS.Exception.Exploit bug (that apparently accompanied ByteVerify)...; So does anybody out there know..., is one better than the other, or should I do both. Please help....! This is drivin' me nutts!!!
