Geforce2 in VgaSafe
« on: December 22, 2003, 04:44:42 AM »
I changed my OS from Win98SE to W2k Pro.  I use a GeForce2 MX 100/200 video card and the instalation seems to be OK (no conflicts).  Running W2K I have 3 conflicts on the Monitor level: 2x on the I/O Device and 1x on the Memory Device, all with the same message "...used by VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller".  In the VgaSave mode you only have 16 colours and the option "Automatic settings" is disabled.
Has this something to do with PnP? Can this be changed by a Bios Upgrade?

install the hyperion 4 in 1 from www.viaarena.com its a driver for chipset allso make sure u have plug and play on in the bios to yes. and install driver for video card. www.nvidia.com and u might want to check bios to see hwo old it is although it might not be it. i woudl leave bios alone. it can kill motherboard if u mess it up updating.
