2.when i have the files ripped from the dvd what do i then do with them to burn them onto a dvd that can be played back on a standalone player?

3.any program/software reccomendations?

4.website recommendations?

5.tutorials?

6.when trying to do a straight copy it wont fit how do i overburn on a dvd-r?

7.if i was to download a movie from the net in the various formats that are available how do i then get them onto a dvd that will playback on a standalone player?

8.i am currently using nero6 ultra edition to burn. and dvd decrypter to rip. anything else i need.

try downloading a ripping program eg. "smartripper"
then download a program called "dvdx" that will convert all the vob files into either a xvid file or divx and vcd and svcd there are diff options in the program its all trial and error and download a bitrate calculator to help with gettign the bitrate right
