well, im asuming u have DSL, or Cable or the such, and its not a USB only type setup.  take the cat5e cable from ur DSL/cable hook it upto ur uplink port on ur router, now take a cat5e cable from one f the downlink ports hook it toon comp take another cat5e hook it to another downlink port hook it to ur other comp.  turn them on, set it up according to ur set up instructions with the router, thats about all i can do for ya. o here http://www.wown.com/articles_tutorials/tcpip.html http://www.electronic-school.com/0396f3.html http://www.compunotes.com/ArticleSection/p...rkingbasics.htm

I have everything hooked up. Thats not the problem. I have a printer on one of them and want to use it for both. I do not need to share files only the printer. How could I set this up without exposing my computer to the internet. Thanks

pc where printer is installed:
Start » Settings » Printers » right click on printer icon and choose "Sharing" » check "Shared as" button and type a name for your printer » ok

second pc:
Start » Settings » Printers » Add printer » Next » Network printer » Next (Browse) » select your printer on the list  » next  » ok  » :-)

* depending on the printer you might need the drivers cd
