First you need a program that will rip and de-ccs the dvd.... so use a program called dvddecrypter to rip the dvd to the hard drive.  Then you need to make it fit on one blank dvd disk, so use a program like shrinkdvd or dvd2one.  after that you can just burn the compressed data, which was made by using dvd2one/shrinkdvd , by using nero 6 or something similar.

to back up your dvd that you own...hunt around for dvdxcopy
i use dvdxcopy express...it works real well for BACKING UP THE DVD YOU OWN.

DvdXCopy Express.  thats what i use its great. either buy it or download a trial version and find a patch for it. either way it should work you just need a little bit of space on your computer http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
