i've searched this WHOLE forum already.. tons of us have asked this question and no one has ever responded as to how to apply the file.  We're all lost and on our own.

dunno whether you've found it - i have  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Quote
If you're asking for loading a color palette (*.act, *.aco, *.pal),

Image > Mode > Index Color.. > Flatten Layers? > OK > Palette > Custom.. > Load..

dunno what this "Flatten Layers" means, but it works without http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />

In german it is: Bild\Modus\Farbtabelle\Laden
(for those who are confused with those english words..)
