I am looking to link two computers. So one keyboard, mouse and monitor, but two towers. Is this possible and if it is what is the best way to get this done. One runs Windows XP and the other one has Windows 98.

KVM switch (keyboard, video, mouse).
Got mine from Newegg for $30.
There are two port, four port, and on up.
The choice is yours.
Get one with an onboard switch and hotkey capabilities.
I love using the keyboard hotkeys to switch between systems.

OK that sounds reasonable, but is there any way to link them so they run together seamlessly. i.e. When going to my computer I can see both hard drives.
