Serial ATA PCI card
« on: May 20, 2004, 06:16:37 PM »
Maxtor SATA 150 PCI combo card.
I just installed this card. I have two IDE drives and one Serial ATA HD connected to it.  I can't boot to the IDE drive when the Serial ATA drive is connected but I can when I unplug the Serial HD.

I want to boot to the IDE and use the Serial ATA drive for file storage. Can I do this or does the Serial HD HAVE to be the boot drive?

I'm actually in the same boat...I currently have two IDE Hdd( 80gb and 120GB) configured on my pc.

I would like to use my Maxtor 200gb Serial ATA hard drive with this computer.  How could i make this possible?  Your help and response is much needed.
