Block/filter Incoming Traffic
« on: June 18, 2004, 10:01:49 PM »
Hi,

I am running a gaming server by using port forwarding on a Netgear WGR614 router.  The game supports chat and there are one or two individuals who are abusive.  I have their IP address logged (it seems static but I would likely block a range) and I want to bounce they guys at the router.  The game supports banning people from the game but there are known back-door that people can use to get back on anyway.  The only sure way is to have the router filter the traffic by IP.

I can't figure out how to do this. It's not obvious in the router setup and perhaps the router doesn't allow me to do that (that would be a bite as I assumed all routers had this type of feature).

Anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

Many Thanks!
