Can't see network connection in XP
« on: June 22, 2004, 03:35:18 PM »
When I open my network connections folder, it's completely empty and I have no way to adjust my settings.  All internet browsing works, but because I can't see my connection I can't enable file sharing to set up my local network. Everything checks out on ipconfig.  I'm running Norton Internet Security and antivirus and I keep it updated religiously.

Windows XP Pro
Athlon XP 2500+ Barton
Biostar M7NCG 400 mobo
512 MB Kingston value PC2700 DDR
Charter 3MB cable connection
Terayon tj715x cable modem via ethernet
Dlink 530tx+ ethernet adapter
wired through Dlink DI-524 router

changing the driver makes a connection visible for a few minutes, but no TCP/IP or any of that fun stuff.

Any suggestions?
