I finally was able to creat a win2000pro bootable CD, but now I was wondering if the process is the same for windows xp pro.

by bootable cd i imagine you mean boot to dos and not an install cd.
if this is the case then i believe you may use that same boot cd for windows xp as long as the file system correspond... ntfs

Well here is the situation with my winxp pro cd, it is a copy but for some reason it will not boot up. So, thats why I need to know how to make it bootable from dos.

if i understand your problem correctly then it may be a cmos settings issue.
and if it is then to resolve that you will need to enter the cmos and set your cdrom drive as your primary boot.  
this should do it but taking into consideration that the winxp cd is bootable.

Yes, I know the CD should be bootable, the cmos is set correctly.  the problem is when the CD was recorded, I think the boot sector was never recorded, hence the need to find out how to make a bootable windows xp pro bootable CD.

I am using NTI CD Maker and my CD Writer Supports only this. Then how can I make a bootable Win XP CD by it. Please help me........
