Resolution & Animation
« on: August 05, 2004, 03:55:56 PM »
What does the resolution of the "Windows XP Professional" boot screen ?
How did they do the bar underneath the words "Windows XP Professional" to move the dots? Can I use a animated gif for that? : http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' />

It has to be a 600x400 16 color bitmap. No you cannot animate this splash screen. The progress bar is just an image that is moved accross the screen. Use resource hacker and look at your NTkrnl.exe (not sure if thats the exact name, to lazy to check http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />) in your system32 directory. Hope this helps
