Your version of Hijackthis is out of date
Download the latest version from HERE

Save it to a Permanent folder on your hard disk
Do another scan and post a Fresh log

I don't see it in your log
Can you Set Windows to Show Hidden Files and Folders

and look for that file in question

I know you have McAfee's installed, but you may want to try downloading The Stinger From McAfee's
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
It will give a more detailed search for the worm
Save it to your desktop

Restart into safe mode
Clean out your Temp folders
Delete the Whole Contents, but not the TEMP directories themselves

C:\WINNT\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\<Any other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
C:\Documents and Settings\<Any other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\

Run Stinger in Safe Mode

Hi Guestelo
Did as you said and no further problem, note after running spybot late last night and dropping msconfig in my system 32 folder, I unchecked unknow items in the startup of the system config utility,,, rebooted and np but I think it was just suppressed although spybot did find and fix 3 problems. Its gone anyway and my sincere thanks, I'm retired and a geek wanna be !!! haha
I'm making a list of items from the hiJack this log of various users you have helped that you have said to remove,,, is such a list already out there??? Would love to have it but further reading in the hiJack this help file will also help me..
Heres the latest Hijack this log.....

I take it you grabbed msconfig from an XP version, good move or you could use a freeware program called CodeStuff's Starter
http://freedownloadswindows.com/65276/star...rter_56138.html

You may want to disable Loadqm.exe from starting up, not an immediate threat but
shouldn't need to be running on startup

Another program that compliments Spybot is
Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05
Ad-Aware
After installation-CHECK FOR UPDATES
Do a Full system scan----Remove All Critical objects
RESTART your computer to finish the cleaning process

To help keep that Spyware off your system
You should install these 2 apps., they add extra security while
silently protecting you, without running in the background

SpywareBlaster by JavaCool---will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies
Install---Check for Updates---Enable all protection
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

IE-Spyad---IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
Here is a tutorial and download link
TUTORIAL==Link to Tutorial
Download link==Download link
Scroll down and click on IE-SPYAD.EXE Free!

With both, Check for updates every couple of weeks

Don't forget about the Immunize feature in Spybot
This will add some protection
Open Spybot>>>Immunize>>>>OK>>>Click Immunize at the top

Or even more added protection Download Mozilla Firefox
A more secure browser, if you give it a chance and install the flash and shocwave plugins, it's a very good browser
It has many other added features  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Did you ever Download The Stinger from that link I supplied to you?

After you download it, restart in safe mode and run it
Let me know if it finds anything

Post back with a fresh hijackthis log afterwards

It didn't appear that you visited Windows update because I don't see the typical ActiveX after a visit---016 entry

Your log looks clean again, let's hope it stays that way
