Hello!

This is a follow up to the other Norton Topic.

I just wanted to say that Norton does not give me the option through phone anymore....

It skips itself to the window where you have three options

1.Use it for the next 15 days
2.Purchace product (no matter how many you try, you wont get the phone option)
3. Enter Key. (the key that keygen generates is one letter/number less.

So basicly they have changed it so you can't crack, thats my understand.

Any other way out there, or know why this is happening?

how do you know a file is read-only? (maybe becaz i didn't remove anything)

Thanks in advance

Why worry about a cracked version of Norton's when there are free Anti-Virus sotware out there and free firewall software if you need it that work really good

You only need one AV running on your machine
More than one can conflict

But here's links to 2 free ones that are highly recommended
AVG free by Grisoft

or
Free Avast by Alwil

Honestly, there's many good free tools out there, why install the illegal stuff

Those free AV's are "ok" for your child's PC that does little more than play games, screw around with IM or surf the net, but they lack many features that full-blown retail AV's offer.  And if you ever get hacked or a really nasty virus, you'll wish you'd had a decent AV and FW on your system. . .believe me.

"Someone". . .refer back to the larger thread on this. There are TWO ways to skin this cat. I've done both.

Apparently the old CD key gen is the more problematic and rigorous way and requires you to not have had Norton AntiVirus 2005 on your system in the past such as the Trial-Ware. In any event, -God's- "patch" worked like a charm for me with both my 98se and Win2000 OS's.

Sounds like somebody doesn't have a clue what there talking about

There are free AV's and free Firewall's that do just as good or better than Norton's
You don't sell for Symantec's do you?
