« on: December 26, 2004, 08:27:24 PM »
I have a Compaq Presario 1830(laptop) w/ windows Xp Pro.........I lost  all my data.....everytime I start windows up..The ususal red "Compaq" logo pops up then...it takes me through to this blue screen that pops up so fast to were i cant get the full message it goes away and the red "Compaq" logo pops up again, and it does it over and over again, sometimes it takes me to the "how do you want to start windows" screen, it says "start windows in safe mode", "start windows with networking", "start windows normally";etc...None of them work it just takes me throughout the process I named earlier.....as i put in Restore cd 1 it starts to load PC DOS it says somthing about "AIC-78XX fails" or somthing like that (im not sure if DOS loads i think it fails to load) then it takes me to Norton Ghost..i boot from the 3 bootable cds that i have...it seems that all 3 load fine..i restart my computer..and it does the same thing over again(red "Compaq" logo, Blue screen;etc...)..... my System BIOS are set to defualt

Plz plz help me
thanx!

Go into your Bios and set it to Boot from CD as No.1

Thanx but..when i tryed to reboot using norton ghost, i used Partition Restore to reload from my bootable CD to see if that would work, I inserted the first of three restore disk and before the first one loaded completely it said somthing about the partition or CD being corrupt and Norton Ghost exited and This came up "Abort: 19235, Decompression Error -3 A:\GHOST>" it shows that, what should I do?
