FAT32 v. NTFS
« on: December 30, 2004, 09:22:49 PM »
I am running XP Pro but my sys is set up in FAT32!! Is there a way to convert it over to NTFS w/o reformatting the drive? I just reformattied 4 times last week and am getting tired of doing it!!!! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

If I dont change over what are the effects? I feel Im running slow and would the switch over make my puter faster. I only have a 933mhz and use Cox Cable as provider. They told me their speed rate is 3 mb and they did a test on their end and said everything is good to my house. When I run a Speed Test, it shows my d/l time as CRAPPPP!!! Wondering if the FAT32 has anything to do with it????

Help!!! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
