MS Backup on large partition
« on: August 14, 2001, 10:42:49 AM »
A friend recently installed a 60GB hard drive and partitioned it into (3) 20GB logical drives.  He tried to backup 13 GB of data using MS Backup on Win 2K.  He errored at a little over 4 GB telling him the drive was full.  I suggested he backup in smaller increments of 4GB each.  He checked his space using Partition Magic and found that he had 14 GB unused on the drive he was backing up to.  Any thoughts?

Use Norton Ghost
This will image the drive and compress the data on to a diffrent Hd.
It also used Norton Explorer which enables you to view the image file and copy and paste data in and out ?

Give it a try it works  for me http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
