Document Contains No Data
« on: March 04, 2005, 09:49:10 PM »
Hello,

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it? Its really more of an ache than a pain, but I'd really like it to stop. It causes me to actually have to be at the computer while using surfjunky, or the browser stalls.
If it makes a difference, I'm using Panda Platinum Internet Security 8.02.02 (2004) with everything except spam enabled.

Thanks

Surfjunky may be part ot your problem
Is it legitimate?<--sound like something I don't want on my computer
But I guess you pay for what you get, one way or another....

What do you run for Spyware removal software?

Could just be the websites your frequent, I'm not sure

No, this has been going on for alot longer than I've been a member of surfjunky. Panda in an all in one Internet security. AV, Firewall, AntiDialer, Adware, Trojan, Spam, content filter. Plus, its made in Spain, so it doesn't have to comply with US laws about having backdoors for forensic software. I also have BHODemon, SpyBot S&D, AdAware, CWShredder, and BPS Suite.

The problem with your 'pop up' has nothing to do with your software, it has to do with the browse. I have listed a bunch of domains into my router filter and once I did that, I get the same popup all the time now. It is nice that I don't hit those marketing sites, however, it is a pain to have to click the 'ok' button for each window. Does anyone know if Firefox allows you to automatically accept the 'ok' response for this window?

Found the answer from another forum:

If you get this annoying "the document contains no data" message in firefox (caused when you have ad blocking enabled somewhere, I think...), then do this:

in address bar, type:

about:config

find the setting called "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled" and set it to true.

the annoying message will then go away.

That fixed me up good! I had it set to "False," changed it, and the problem has *poof* disappeared!

Thank you! And thank goodness, I was losing mindbits at an alarming rate.
