external floppy for my laptop
« on: August 29, 2001, 02:18:05 PM »
I have a Toshiba Tecra 8100 and want to use a 3.5\" micro flexible disk drive (Mitsubishi Electric-no help) attached to my parrallel port..I am running Win2k.  So far it only recognizes its own floppy (which I don\'t have). Bottom line how can I make my laptop see my parrallel port floppy??

Have you tried looking for win2k drivers for the parallel port floppy? Only after you install the driver for the parallel to floppy converter will win2k see the floppy drive.
If a win2k driver isnt available, try an nt4 driver. NT4 drivers usually work well on win2k.
