My machine was recently infected by a virus unknown to me and it seems like there is nothing I can do to get rid of it. I noticed when I went online and within minutes of being connected, I would get bumped off. So, I would reconnect and eventually my machine would just freeze up and at that moment the appearance of my browser switches from the default MSN browser look to the default IE look. Really strange. Once that happens, there is nothing at all I can do. I can't even open up the task manager. I tried doing a scan, but Norton won't run either. I have reinstalled Norton, and that doesn't work. Without an internet connection and Norton not working, I'm at a loss. Thankfully, my brother has allowed me to use his machine to search for a fix. I would greatly appreciate any help someone in this room could offer. Thanks.
