slipstreaming with sp2express?
« on: August 31, 2001, 03:31:44 PM »
Is it possible to slipstream my i386 folder with sp2express.exe?

I tried \"sp2express -s:c:sp2\" with i386 as a subfolder, but I get an error message.

Thank you,
Wilbert

I have never played with sp2express.exe but depending on how it downloads the files, it may be possible.
You can try to make it do a download only. In the download folder, look for a file by the name update.exe
If it exists, use the slipstream command to integrate. (check the slipstream article).
Accoding to M$, about 10MB is needed for Win2k pro.

No, you cannot slipstream using the express version.  The full version has every updated file there is.  The express version only downloads what you need for your particular install.  So express is fine if it\'s a one time thing, otherwise I\'d get the full so it can be used on other pc\'s, and for slipstreaming.
