I can't boot to XP
« on: March 29, 2005, 03:18:52 PM »
I was working on my computer and I shut off the computer from the power button and not from the normal shut down procedure. After I restarted the computer the next time, it gave me a harddisk error and the computer started to scan the disk but it game me yet another error. I tried to go into safe mode, but that didn't work either. I have valuable info. on the hard disk that I don't want to loose, so I tried to put the Windows XP cd to use the console feature but it prompts me for the administrator password  that I don't have. Please help if you can. Thanks.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' />
