hi I\'ve just moved in with a friend and she\'s having problems with her cd-roms. I installed a dvd-drive in the computer which runs without problems, but both the cd-rom and cd-rw give errors when installing big programs, and when running things like games. random crashes, errors on files during installation etc. I checked all settings and they seem to be fine, same with master/slave settings (unless I missed something there)
running win98 on a celeron 500 128mb ram
