Sticky Elitum.Elitebar & DyFuCa.InternetOptimiser
« on: April 18, 2005, 11:10:14 AM »
Hi, Hope you can help - I'm trying to clean up my Da's computer...  there was loads of malware/adware - spybot got most of it -I used the symantec tool to get rid of IST, but two remain...
Elite.Elitebar & DyFuCA.InternetOptimiser

They only show up in Spybot now - and it says they cannot be deleted.

I have run AdAware SE and Spybot Doctor - and they come up clean now....

Here's the log from HijkackThis

Hope you can help...... Thanks

I don't see signs of Elitebar
But for a double check

Download and UNZIP to desktop
Elite Toolbar Removal Tool
From that link

This tool is best run in safe mode, I suggest that you restart in safe mode and run it

Afterwards

Restart back to Normal mode

Open Spybot and Search for updates and check for problems
After the scan is complete
Right click in the Results pane and save a full report
Copy and paste the report back here
