Symantec NetDriver Monitor ??
« on: April 27, 2005, 09:25:01 AM »
I don't know if this is the right place to put this I'm new here...but here it goes:
Done and Update on Symantec Redirector On Norton antivirus 2005 and my winpatrol came up and dummy me allowed the things below to be added to my start up.......Was this part of the update in Norton??? or a nasty being added?
Added to Startup Rograms

Tile: Symantec NetDriver Monitor
Command: SNDMon.exe/consumer
Version: 5.5
When Clicking on Symantec NetDriver Monitor It tells:
 Symantec Security Drivers Install Monitor

C:\PROGRA~1\SYMNET~1\SNDMON.EXE

Name: Symantec Security Drivers
Version: 5.5
Company: Symantec Corporation
Copyright: Copyright 2002, 2003, 2004 Symantec Corporation
Startup Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Status: Ready and theres the box that has Run that I can click on

Do I need this??? Was it a part of the update in Norton??? I know this might be a stupid question  to some of you....but I don't know and thought I would come here and ask.
