yes people say also if u have windows xp professional it's just as bad for it! Not to sure if it would mess up windows Xp home edition but if u have Professional i would consider uninstalling if possible. And even in ur case if i were u i would uninstall to and maybe download SP1 because it's better.

It could be related too a third party program you have installed

I've heard it happening with Alcohol 120%
It may need updating or removed

Do the slowdowns really start happening after you try right clicking on something?

There is a small program to disable the the right click context menu item to see if it's a possible problem

If your interested in trying it let me know

Also, did you have Alcohol installed before or after you installed SP2?

I uninstalled Service Pack 2, but it's still slow. I had Alcohol before I installed the Service Pack.

I'm not seeing anything wrong with your latest log
When you open up your Task Manager can you tell which processes are using all the Resources?

When was the last time you defragged the computer and did a disk cleanup?
Or use Windows CleanUp!
I believe you have the latter installed, I'm not sure

IS the CPU the resource? Then "System Idle Process" is the thing that uses most of my resource. (90% to 99%)

Well, have the System Idle process between 90-99% is very good

The only thing left to do in your log
I would access your Add/Remove programs and remove anything to do with
VIEWPOINT
You may have a couple entries

I don't use AlZip, I would check at their site

If you can't get it figured out
You can always remove it and try the extracting utility I prefer

As far as Emulating software, I don't have any installed on my machine
So I won't be much help there
I use to have Alcohol 120 on my 98SE machine, but uninstalled it a long time ago

You may want to check on Alcohol support forums for an XP SP2 fix if there is one

I decided to use Daemon tools as the emulator and downloaded IZarc. Does everything seem good now? Also, why's it that my computer takes a long time loading after I right click on the desktop?

Open Shellexview.exe and then click on TYPE to sort the list by type

If you find anything still related to Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools
under CONTEXT MENU
Right click on it and Disable the selected item and see if the problem disappears with right clicking the desktop

Okay, the lag is getting really bad now. Approximately every second, my lag keep repeating, and the computer will... kind of freeze every second. But it comes back. And my speakers get static every second. And my mouse stops every second. What's going on?
