I have a DELL system which came shipped with an ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card.
However, me being a somewhat heavy gamer, I upgraded my g-card to an ATI Radeon x800XT PE.
I also needed to upgrade the PSU to have enough power to support this monster.
As I'm playing more demanding games, I can clearly hear how every fan in the rig increase to MAX,
and it's not a very quiet experience. This also makes me concerned for my g-card and what negative
impact this apparent heat-increase might have on it.
As I check the g-card's temperature immediately after a demanding game-session (through ATI's Overdrive-feature)
it shows ~71 C (and sinking rapidly). That is (according to a third party temperature-converter) about 158 F.
Is this a dangerous heat-level for an x800XT PE ? If so, what temperature should this card NOT exceed ?
Thanks for your time and help !
