Nail.exe and spyware

I tried the fix in another thread.
and when rebooting the computer was looking for nail.exe

I installed norton internet security, and it there are programs trying to use unknow ie modules. Its very fusterating... here is a copy of my safe mode hijackthis report.

Hi Richard, can I have you open Hijackthis>>Open Misc tools Section>>Open Uninstall Manager
Click the SAVE LIST button
Save the list to desktop
Copy and paste back the WHOLE contents of this list back here

Could you also run another scan with Hijackthis in Normal mode and post a fresh log
if possible

i would love to, but for some reason my computer now will not go past the 8xtreme seres msi start page when the computer boots up!

is there a boot tool I can load or something!

I'm not sure what you mean by the msi start page
Are you saying you can't login to your account
or you don't get to your desktop at all?

Did you remove anything with Hijackthis
Can you let me know exactly what you have done since posting your first log

Can you also let me know what tools you ran on your computer since you posted
And what versions they are
Especially Spyware Removers

Are you still able to get to Safe mode?
If not
Can you tap the F8 key as the system is restarting
Select Last Know Good Configuration?

Sorry about that, somethign must have been running on the computer before windows cause it took like 10 minutes to get to the window loading screen.

I am hoping i got rid of most of the garbage but norton internet security keeps telling me svchost.exe is attempting to access the internet using one or more unrecognized modules.

module is C:\windows\system32\licdll.dll
address is 239.255.255.250 :1900
service port is 1030

I took a screen shot to show u and tried uploading which tied up my browser.. I ran hijack this and put a check beside everything that wintoos or wtools beside it. after i post this I will restart and see how long it takes for the computer to get past the initial flash screen. (usually only up for 1second.)

i used the ewido software and clean this i got both from the links posted here.

From this point on, DON'T run
Ad-Aware 6 again
I repeat DO NOT run Ad-Aware 6
I won't go into too much detail, but it is very outdated
and if it improperly removes one entry that appears in your hijackthis log
You will/may not be able to Log back into Windows without modification

I'm stepping out for a bit, I'll be back later to give you some directions

Back again, can you do the following please

Not sure if you downloaded this fix, but if not do the following
Please download Nailfix from here:

Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet

You should also either Print these directions or save them too a Notepad file on the desktop for reference

Go to START>>>RUN>>>type in services.msc
Hit OK
In the next window, look on the right hand side for this service
name---- WinTools for IE service

Double click on it--- STOP the service--If running
In the drop down menu, change the startup type to Disabled

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

Access your Add/Remove programs via Control panel and Remove
WebSearch Tools
Win-Tools Easy Installer (by WebSearch)

Restart your computer into SAFE MODE

Set Windows To Show Hidden Files and Folders
    * Click Start.
    * Open My Computer.
    * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    * Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    * Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
    * Click Yes to confirm.
    * Click OK.

Find and delete these files and folders if found
C:\Windows\System32\wsaupdater.exe <-this file

C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools <-this folder
C:\Program Files\Toolbar <-folder

==Double-click on nailfix.cmd that you unzipped earlier. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal

Restart back to Normal mode

Access your Add/Remove programs again
Remove Ad-aware 6 Personal and Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2
Restart your computer again

Next
Download and Install the free version of Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06
Ensure you have this version or the paid version
Open Ad-Aware, ensure to click the  check for updates now link and Connect to download the latest updates
Perform a Full system scan
When it's finished scanning
At this point you should either right click on the screen and and choose the "Select All" Objects option or individually put a checkmark in each objects checkbox
click on the Next button. Ad-Aware SE will now present you with a confirmation box as to whether or not you would like to remove the objects you have just selected. Press the "OK" button

RESTART your computer to finish the cleaning process

Back in windows
Download and Install Spybot 1.4 from
HERE
 or HERE
Don't activate the Tea Timer when installing, it's a great feature but can get in the way
of any fixes we may still have to do
After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check, and download all updates
Click the Search & Destroy button on the left
Check for Problems---When the Scan is complete
FIX all selected promblems in RED

RESTART the computer to finish the cleaning process

Back in Windows
run another scan with Hijackthis and post a fresh log

Could you also enter your Add/Remove programs after doing the above and let me know if this entry still remains

ok some notes.

Computer is still frozen for almost exactly 3 minutes on startup or reboot at the motherboard flash screen and i cannot get into options pushing delete or f12. caps lockand scroll lock do not turn the keyboard lights on.

after the three minutes it goes to the bios summary page (flashes for a second) and then to load windows ( can get into safe mode etc)

when running adaware se, i cannot do a complete scan it locks up at around 107k files scanned. on file C:\windows\system32\dllcache
i stopped it at 106k files and then cleaned to that point using adaware.

Did you intentionally install it, it may be related to a keylogger to track what yourselfs or others are doing on your computer

Your log looks ok besides the unknow above
If you have the disk for Nortons'
I would venture to uninstall Norton Internet Security completely
Ensure you start your computer afterwards

Back in Windows
Do an online virus scan from at least one of the links I have below
Panda's
Trend Micro
Bit Defender
Save the report afterwards and post it back here

This may be the best course, since you had issues in your log before you installed
NIS
It may be a corrupt install, let's make sure

And thanks for posting another Uninstall manager log from Hijackthis
That confirms that entry was deleted with the fixes we did

I just installed NIS two days ago.
I used the housecall.trendmicro site just before installing it. I wanted NIS for the firewall and site blocking for young ones who like to use sites like ratemyX.com

I have no idea what the divace thing is I was kinda hoping you would know.

the computer is running much much much better now,
however it is still spending 3 minutes at the motherboard splash screen... that is the only thing left to fix.

I didn't mean to confuse you, I wanted you to remove Norton's to see if it is the culprit on the 3 minute login
Of course I wouldn't want you browsing around without any AV or firewall software
It was just to eliminate the possibility is was causing the problem

Divace Elite may be a legit program
