Hi....Hopefully this will be an easy one......I'm having problems with my scrolling and dragging......It wiggles like crazy when I do either one......If I click on the down arrow on the scrollbar, it won't stop......When it does scroll, it has vertical wavy lines and wiggles like mad.....Same thing if I'm dragging a window......Wiggle city......It didn't do this before I got that nasty SpySheriff.....How can I get this to stop ?....I'm running Windows XP Pro.....IE 6......wiifm

Hi.....I'm still trying to get back my settings after that SpySheriff got me.......When I use the scrollbar, it doesn't slide easily, like it used to do......There's hesitation........The page, that I'm scrolling starts to wiggle....If I'm dragging a page left to right, it also wiggles......The wiggle is horizontal......Not vertical, like I stated before....If I click on the arrow of the scrollbar, whether up or down, it hesitates & then it won't stop......Never had this trouble before SpySheriff.......Is there anything I can adjust to get my scrolling back ? http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':unsure:\' />

Hi again wiifm, sorry to hear your still experiencing problems
Been a bit busy away from the forums
I'm trying to do some catch up

Can you do the following for me please

Download and unzip to your desktop Search.zip so you now have Search.bat extracted
Double click on Search.bat
A text file will open, can you copy and paste the whole contents back here please

Can you also post a fresh hijackthis log back here, let's make sure it's still clean

Is this background image something you created?

Can I have you do the following please
Delete your version of Smitfraud.reg and zip file if you still have them
Download and save to desktop this version of Smitfraud.zip I have uploaded

Unzip the contents
Double click on Smitfraud.reg and allow to merge to the registry
[attachment=275:attachment]
Restart your computer

Back in Windows

Is everything better?
Let me know if your having any background problems
Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box to notepad, not including the word "code"
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
Name the file as Export.bat
Code: [Select]

Save this file on the desktop

I don't think you quite understand

I don't know how things are running unless you let me know
Is the mouse problem gone?
You look like you have lost the ability to go into XP theme mode
Your probably stuck in Classic mode
Let me know if this is a problem for you
Do you want to be in Classic Mode?

Try this
Right click an empty spot on your desktop
Left click properties
Under the Appearance tab check something for me
In the drop down menu under Windows and Buttons
Can you select Windows XP style?
Or is Windows Classic style your only option

Under the Themes tab are you in Windows Classic style?

Can I have you try the following please

Download and Save to desktop
LUNA.Zip
Don't unzip this yet, we'll need it in a bit

Also, Download and Unzip to your desktop Fix.zip
So you have Fix.reg extracted to desktop
[attachment=276:attachment]

Can you do the following please
Double click on Fix.reg and allow to add or Merge to the registry
Restart your computer afterwards

Back in Windows
UNZIP the contents of Luna.zip
To
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Luna <-this folder

You must unzip only to that folder
You should now have luna.msstyles unzipped to the Luna folder
Double click on luna.msstyles in the luna folder
It should open your Display options>>Appearance tab
Let me know if you can change your appearance to XP style now
Also check out your Themes tab to ensure you can have Windows XP style

Make sure you have SpywareBlaster and IE-Spyad installed and keep them updated
I linked you to them in your last post

They'll help to prevent these types of infections in the future
