[quote name=\'Emile\' date=\'Jul 3 2005, 05:52 AM\']Hello,

http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'<_<\' />
I run on my PC 2 HDD
1/ Maxtor 6Y060L0 61 GB
2/ Maxtor 6E040L0 41 GB
My 61 GB HD runs at 66° C, my 41 GB runs at 38° C , these value are given by the program HD Tune 2.10 Hard Disk Utility .
Are these figures correct? 66°C is quite hot !!

How can I control the accuracy of the temp?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, ya, 66C is a bit too hot for a harddrive. Use the program everest home edition
http://www.lavalys.com/ and see what the temps are in that program..it is usually quite accurate.
If its still hot, look into some HDD cooling.
