I can't see why you would get an error message just trying to download Yahoo Messenger

Can you access your Add/Remove programs and remove anything to do with Yahoo
Reboot the computer and then try reinstalling Yahoo?

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

You asked if i could Add/Remove Programs and the answer is yes.  i can now.  But this is what i have been doing for sometime now... D/L Yahoo, installing and then i get the error(s).  i will then uninstall and try to reinstall it again.  Over and over i have done this and still no luck.

Hmm, I'm not sure,
What version of Yahoo messenger are you using
Are you trying the Beta version or Yahoo 6.0

Have you tried running a registry cleaner through your machine?
Did you try cleaning your Cache and Temp folders before trying to reinstall?
Is there a leftover Yahoo folder in your Program Files after uninstalling and Restarting your computer?
Make sure after you uninstalled Yahoo, you restart the computer and then remove the Yahoo folder in Program Files if it exists
Then you may want to try this registry cleaner, this may or may not help
Optional, but try this
Go here and
Download and UNZIP this free registry cleaner
RegSeeker 1.45
http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm

Open the RegSeeker Folder and double click on RegSeeker.exe
Click on
"Clean the Registry" on the left menu
Ensure there is a check in "Backup before Deletion" on the bottom left
Then click OK on the right

Let it finish scanning
When it's done
Click "Select All" Near the bottom
and then Right click in the Results pane and click
"Delete Selected Items"
Exit RegSeeker
Restart the computer

Make sure your programs are all working, I've never had a problem with it, this is just precautionary

Try reinstalling Yahoo, any luck?

Are you willing to try another Instant messenger service that can connect to Yahoo
I don't use Yahoo, but I hear Trillian is very good
However, I don't use it either
They supply a free version>>I believe it's the Basic
Take a look
