« on: September 29, 2001, 11:05:41 PM »
I am trying to triple boot win2k, 98se, and xp and i am having a prob. my mobo and vid card conflict and i need to install the drivers for them not to. in win2k i would finish setup in vga mode then install when finished. how do i boot into vga mode in xp. right now when i try to run xp, the loading screen shows then goes blank with 1 tiny white dot in the upper left corner. if i upgrade win2k to winxp will it use win2k\'s drivers?

Yes, if you upgrade from win2k, it should use the win2k drivers.  Unless WinXP has a driver it thinks is better.

To get into safe-mode, you should be able to just hit F8 just before the windows splash screen shows up (I just continually hit it so I don\'t miss the small time frame I gotta get it in).  Then a boot menu will show up, select safe mode.
