If i get waht your saying...
Norton Ghost will copy the image of the from the Pc with windows 98 on it.
I\'m assuming that your going to be backing up data rarther than the operating system (C:). So you would image drive D: with data on it..
The only issues that you would have was to make sure the paths were the same on the newer computer.
D: drive to D: Drive.
Mabey the question above want worded right... or you may not quite understand the \"Image\"... so...
If you old computer has win 98 on it and you place the image onto the newer pc there shouldnt realy be any problems, except that putting the win 98 image onto the newer computer writes over the existing operating system...
So Win xp would not exist anymore and your win 98 image would be in its place...
Problems may occur with hardware issues if you were trying to put an image from the newer machine with newer hardware on to the older machine...
And the final answer...
The newer computer would know that it was now a windows 98 operating system....
Are you trying to create a dual boot system where you have win 98 & Win xp on the same computer ?
