emachine with XP slow and erratic
« on: July 21, 2005, 02:15:19 PM »
This machine belongs to a friend of mine.  I am trying to assist with the problem.  Machine has Adaware, Spybot and Norton all up to date as far as I know.

Any help appreciated, but I may not get to this machine again for a couple of days.

Here is the HJT log:

I forgot to mention when I posted the log that this person uses Email Removed as their ISP.  There is also a Logitech camera with the computer.

Do you still need a hand with this log?
I know you wanted to analyze your own with those links I supplied
If you still need a hand
Post a fresh Hijackthis log and we'll go from there
If you purposely installed SpyKiller
Get rid of it
Keep this link bookmarked so you know what Spyware tools to stay away from
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Personally, you should want to stick with Ad-Aware SE Personal
Spybot 1.4 and Microsoft Anti-Spyware

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

I have bookmarked the item for SpyKiller and will get rid of it.  I will try to analyize this myself and will ask for help if I need it.

I appreciate all your help.

Thanks.
