Hi GhostAlone, I'm not seeing anything bad, just a single entry for some cleanup
This does not mean that there may not be anything wrong however

Here's what I can suggest right now
Regular maintenance may help
And we could run a scan on your computer

Try the following

==Download and Install this small program
to help clean your temp folders, cookies, etc...
Windows Cleanup! 4.0
Give the link time to load or try it twice, it may be busy
Don't run this yet, we'll need it in a bit

Restart your computer into
SAFE MODE
You can do this by tapping the F8 key as the system is restarting, just before Windows loads, or use the link
I supplied for a more detailed explanation

==Open Windows CleanUp!>>START>>programs>>Cleanup!
Click on the CleanUp button, let it finish scanning for files
DECLINE to Log off or Restart when scan is done.

==Disk Defragmenter, if you haven't defragged your computer for some time
Now would be a good time
Go to Start>>All programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Disk Defragmenter
Click the Defragment button
Let this finish, it could take some time if not done for awhile

Reboot your computer when it's done

Back in Windows

==Download and then Install
Ewido Security Suite

When installing, under "Additional Options" Uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We'll fix that later
From the main ewido screen, click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

If for some reason the Updater won't work can you manually download the
Updates from this link after you have Ewido installed
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

==Open Ewido trojan scanner
Click on the Scanner button on the left menu
Click on the Settings button on the right
Select "Scan Every File"
OK it and then click on the "Complete System Scan"
*If Ewido finds something it will prompt you with "Infected Object found"
Ensure the following are Selected
  *1. Perform Action = Remove
*2. Create Encrypted Backup in Quarantine (Recommended)
*3. Perform action with all infections
  Then click OK
When Ewido has finished it's scan click the "Save Report" button
Save the report to desktop
Exit Ewido

NOTE: When Ewido is running do NOT open any other Windows
Let it do it's job

Come back here and post a fresh hijackthis log and the report from Ewidos

Note: When you first reboot after running Windows CleanUp!
Boot time may be a bit slower as it also clears your prefetch folder
The speed will increase on next bootup

Looks like Ewido just found some cookies this time

Can you try the following

Go to START>>Control Panel>>Adminstrative tools>>Event viewer
Hightlight Applications
Then Click Action in the top menu bar and Clear All Events

Ok out of there
The next time there is a crash
Go back to Applications in the Event Viewer
Look for a Red X on the right
Double click it and get a description of the problem if possible

I had another crash and did what you said. There was nothing in the Applications. When I crash, I go to a blue screen. Here is what it tells me:

error: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION

STOP: 0x0000009C (0x00000004, 0x8054FF0, 0xB2000000, 0x00070F0F)

Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Thanks so much for your help,

Ted Trezise

This is sounding like a Hardware problem
Have you Overclocked your system?
Added any new hardware lately?

The computer I'm using is almost brand new. The only hardware I've added is a printer and an external hard drive. At first, I thought it was the printer, so i uninstalled the software and removed it entirely. But then, a few days later, I got the same error. I don't think it is the external hard drive, though it is connected through USB, I've had it off for the last 2 weeks. How could I check if I'm overclocking it?

Thanks again for all your help.

I'm at a loss to what the error could be
As mentioned, still sounds like a Hardware problem
If it's brand new you may be to take it in for warranty work

Just as a double check, did you install any new software before the crashes started to happen?

I can find this on google

It's hard to tell what I might have installed. As I mentioned, it is a brand new computer, so I installed lots of programs the first day I got it running. I will call the manufacturer if I crash again.

I'd like to thank you again for your help, I appreciate it very much.

Just a possibility, as others have had problems with this

What version of INCD from Nero products are you running?

I'm running INCD 4. Though, now that you mention it, I can't even open INCD.

I would try updating Nero or try removing Incd altogether and see if the problems goes away
