how to completely remove msn messenger?
« on: September 11, 2005, 09:30:19 PM »
I have some problems with ads on msn messenger(not normal msn ads, more like extra addon ads that does not suppose to appear on my chat box).. i tried uninstall/reinstall never worked, i tried to uninstall and remove any folders related to it, then reinstall, didn't work.

What i wanted to do now is to Completely REMOVE msn messenger, as in every single file it uses to its function. Because when i did uninstall/reinstall, or uninstall+ remove folders + reinstall, it always remembered my email address when i tried to sign in ( i never had remember my login/pass checked). So there has to be some files that makes the messenger remember my email address, just as there has to be something that triggers the text based ads on my msn CHATBOX.

I have msn 7.0 newest build(win2k sp4). I don't and cannot use 7.5 cause it only runs on winxp.

I had questolo's help to clean my pc beforehand http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />  so it should be clean, but just need some msn text ad removing. (btw this text-ad on the bottom of my chatbox does not come with msn.. 99.9% certain, also they seem like normal ads, nothing bad about them..but it just really annoying for to me see them on every chat box><).

Thanks in advance for any kind of help. IF i have to..i think i will try to format..but lots of backing up to do ><
