I just installed win2k and am running a dual boot with win98. The dual boot works fine...except for one problem. I have no sound. My video card(creative sblive 16) works fine under win98...under win2k there are no conflicts with hardware or anything like that...the device manager pics it up...I just have no sound. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks for any help in advance....

Open Control Panel -Sounds and Multimedia -
There you can check if \"Show Volume contol on the Taskbar\"
is checked , so you can see your settings on the taskbar, and also check if the Volume slider is not set to a minimum .
Go to Audio -Playback : check if nothing is set to MUTE and no sliders are set to minimum (they will not if you allready moved the former Volume slider slider to 3/4 up.
Check also in the Audio settings if your sound blaster is right there as the default device ..

I agree with the tips: also try to load up a MP3: if it works corrctly (=no error msgs) the device works and the problem you ave is about volume.
