Trojan.Vundo - Not Good At This Stuff
« on: October 15, 2005, 12:26:34 AM »
Hi,
My Norton Antivirus has been giving me notifications of a virus called Trojan.Vundo on my computer, and it says Access to the File was Denied. I downloaded a Symantic (spelled something like that) removal tool, but it said the virus wasn't found on my computer. Norton, however, gives me several hundred popups a day notifying me of this virus, then Norton will freeze up and my computer won't respond to anything.
I'm really not a techie person, so I don't know how to remove this virus or what you guys mean by half the stuff you say. Could someone please explain to me, in freshman-who-doesn't-take-programming language, how to solve this problem? I really need my computer to work properly.. and it's become nearly impossible to work with.
Thanks,
Renee

Oh, also, I've read the other posts on this subject and I don't understand the lengthy hijackthis logs that people are posting.. Please, if you're going to ask me for one of those, also explain to me how to do one. I sound so ignorant, but I really don't spend much time going in-depth with my computer. I should probably start getting into some of this stuff..
Again, thanks.
Renee
