I have a dual boot sys w2k , win xp rpo rc1 .
Is there no problem to install the full version , or the upgrade version of win xp rpo when in wp pro rc1 .
Should I let the program make a full install or an upgrade of the existing rc1 if I want to keep my installed programs and hardware working .

To keep all your settings you need to do an upgrade.  I personally would recommend doing a full install, it\'s always better than an upgrade.

Just fyi, but I\'m running WinXP Pro, and to get to it I\'ve had:

Win2k, clean install
Upgraded to WinXP Beta2
Upgraded to several interim builds
Upgraded to WinXP RC1
Upgraded to some more interim builds
Upgraded to WinXP RC2 (I think, or maybe it was something newer than that)
Then I upgraded to WinXP Final.  It seems to be ok, but is flaky sometimes (sometimes IE doesn\'t work at all at first startup, upon reboot it\'s fine; for example).  I\'m going to do a clean install soon as I am able.

You are right ,just a clean install will be the best way.
Save my mail dbx files and my favorites make a clean install ,
and get a full version for once , instead of making a clean install with an upgrade version .
