Anyone Smart enough to solve NAT error please?
« on: October 19, 2005, 07:08:58 AM »
hi

well first of all, i am not that much smart.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

i am trying to use Azureus but it always gives my yelow face, i tried testing port and it gave NAT ERROR. i have tried almost all the other clients and they all have the same problem.
i googled alot.. and when i say ALOT, i mean ALOTT.

to give you a brief idea.
i am using a cabe net. i went to the isp, paid them, they came my home, installed a LAN card (i think thats what it is, its like a modem) and connected a cable to it. set up my connection. it was two years ago. i have the same service. the ISP guys are kind of smart a$$ and its the only cable service in my area.they have all these idiotic restriction like you cant download anything betwen 9pm-1am.... this sort of stuff. they are kind of rude too. i mean you cant argue with them, they simply say "sir, if you dont like our service, you can unsubscribe anytime"..... &@#^

anyway,

my ip is 192.168.1.161
i set Azureus to use por 16881 (as read on other forums)
opened ports 16881-16999 on my windows XP firewall. both TCP and UDP.

the torrent is quite healthy... it has more than 400 peers and 200 seeds.

i have windows XP sevice pack 1

please feel free to ask me whatever you may think is required..
Thank you.
