Hello All

I know this has been covered but I seem to have a different problem from others, my computer keeps hanging when closing down and can take up to 5 mins before shutting down.  Also if I open some programs they cannot be closed down, even going to task manager does not close them.  I am not having any problems opening regedit or task manager.

I have scanned my files with ad-aware and found this worm, it told me where the file was, a backed up Ultra Win Cleaner file which I have since deleted but I am still having the same problem and ad-aware not coming up clean.

I downloaded BFU and WinPFind but BFU just hangs and does not respond.

I am attaching the HighjackThis logfile in the hope that someone can spot whats wrong and help.

Thank goodness for that http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />, finally got the BFU to work and managed to follow instructions given in another post and have now got rid of the pesky worm so no help required on that front.

I'm glad I found this forum, there is good advice on this website, definetly a keeper.

Morphios, your log looked ok when you first posted
So I'll trust everything is alright now

Just some recommendations
You should set up protection against future attacks
SpywareBlaster 3.4 by JavaCool
*Will block bad ActiveX Controls
*Block Malevolent cookies in Internet Explorer and Firefox
*Restrict actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer
After installation, Check for updates and then click the "Enable all protection"

IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

With both, Check for updates every couple of weeks
Keep the link to IE-Spyad bookmarked so you can check for updates
SpywareBlaster, after every update just simply click the "enable all protection"
