Can you do the following please

Download and Install Spybot 1.4 from
HERE
 or HERE
Don't activate the Tea Timer when installing, it's a great feature but can get in the way
of any fixes we may still have to do
After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check, and download all updates
In the event you get bad checksum error, check for updates again and try a different download location from the drop down menu
Don't run a scan yet

==Download and save too desktop or a folder
The Standalone version of CWShredder.exe
We'll need this later

Access your add/remove programs and remove
Search Plugin
and
New.net Domains 6.90

Please Print this out or save these instructions to a Notepad file and save it to your Desktop
RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE
You can do this by tapping the F8 key as the system is restarting, just before Windows loads, or use the link
I supplied for a more detailed explanation

In safe mode
Find and delete the following files or folders if found
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WSTART.DLL <-file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Tcpservice2.exe <-file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\XPLUGIN.DLL <-file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\tmksrvu.exe <-file

C:\WINDOWS\APPLICATION DATA\EXIT TEAM CDROM <-folder
C:\PROGRAM FILES\NEWDOTNET <-folder, or similiar
C:\WINDOWS\APPLICATION DATA\BALLBI~1 <-folder, i'm not sure of the exact name, but it will begin with Ballbi

Run CCleaner and clean your temp files

Stay in safe mode
Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://hot-searches.com/search.php?v=6&aff=9076068

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows,
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Open Spybot 1.4
Click the Search & Destroy button on the left
Check for Problems---When the Scan is complete
FIX all selected promblems in RED

Open CWShredder.exe and run the FIX button
Let it fix what it finds

RESTART the computer back to Normal mode

Back in Windows, post a fresh hijackthis log

Could you also
Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box to notepad, not including the word "code"
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as find.bat

Save this file on the desktop

Code: [Select]
dir C:\WINDOWS\Tasks /a /s > files.txt
start notepad files.txt

Double click on find.bat, a text file will open, copy and paste the contents back here

Are you having problems with Norton AV? I don't see it running
