Annoying viruses
« on: October 26, 2005, 03:02:01 AM »
seems I got the 2 for 1 deal tonight, got me an msn self-sender virus that has disabled msconfig, HJT, my norton anti-virus(wont let me get rid of it), and has even disabled my internet as far as going to some anti-virus removal pages. THEN, I was lucky enough to get a full blown exe worm that renders any and all desktop and startmenu icons unusable, by that I mean all the icons turn into the kind that you usually see when the system doesn't recognise a program. Had to go through a lot of back doors in my system to get system resort going for that to not be such an issue anymore, I just have to live with no firewalls or pop-ups blockers and the such. However, since I got this newer msn virus its even disabled system restore. any and all help would be much appreciated.
