This is a guide on how to edit the text on your psp menu

You will need the following files for this to work http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

-a Hex editor

-PSAR Dumper02

-a 1.5 EBOOT

-PBP Unpacker

-UMD Emulator 0.8

First, you will decrypt the 1.5 EBOOT. There will be a PSAR file in there, then put it in the root of the memory stick.

Then put PSAR Dumper02 and PSAR Dumper 02% in the PSP/Game folder. Run PSAR Dumper02

After go back to USB mode and there will be a OUT and OUTX folder in the root of the memory stick.

Delete OUTX, you wont need it. Inside the OUT folder there will be a bunch of files in it. You will be able to use
topmenu_plugin.rco.

Open it up with Hex Workshop and you are able to edit the following

-Memory Stick"!(means tm)  Offset:0x0000396C

-UMD"!                               Offset:0x00003960

-Game Sharing                    Offset:0x00004228

-Network Update                  Offset:0x00004208

-Saved Data Utility               Offset:0x00004118

-System settings                 Offset:0x0000401C

-Photo                               Offset:0x00003FAC

-Music                                Offset:0x00003FB8

-Video                                Offset:0x00003FC4

-Game                                Offset:0x00003FD0

You can edit these by typing there offset and it will go to the word.

Then just type the same amount of letters and not adding any letters or deleting any letters or decimals.

After that make a folder in the root of your memory stick called F0. Then in that make another folder called vsh. Inside of that make a folder called resource. Put the topmenu_plugin.rco file in the resource folder and your pretty much done. Install UMDEMULATOR correctly in your psp and then click it. Make sure it shows this on the screen:

              CPU/BUS Speed: 333/166Mhz
              ISO EMU MODE: SYSTEM MENU
DISCTYPE ISO: (whatever type of iso you have)
DISCTYPE UMD: (whatever umd you have in your psp)
              UPDATER ICON: ORIGINAL
              USE BOOT.BIN: off
              REGION OVERIDE: off
              FLASH0 EMU: ON
              FLASH1 EMU: off

After that it should load back to the the menu with your custom text. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Note: When you turn off your psp you will have to hold down the power button or remove the battery.
When you turn the psp back on it will be the original text.
