Need for Speed Underground
“Check out my ride!”
Title: Need For Speed: Underground
Platform: Gamecube
My Rating: 7.9/10
Gameplay:
Need for Speed is an awesome game where in story mode you can unlock parts and cars so you can fix them up and race them. In the story mode, you have one ride and you can trade it in for new unlocked cars or for the cars that were already available. In every race you participate in, you must rank first to get money and new parts. This helps you to customize your ride. The game also offers a versus mode and time mode where you race to set a time for your friends to beat.
Sound:
The music in the game is great especially at the main screen where the game plays a song by the Eastside boys. The music is very good and the special effects are really cool when you activate the Nos on your ride.
Graphics:
The Game has great graphics especially when it comes to the cars. The game has many colors that you can paint your car and when you apply a paint, the car shines like new. The color shines and shows you that the car is really made of metal and not plastic.
Maneuvering:
The cars in the game are a little difficult to drive with but it only takes a little getting use to. The game knows this so sets up different races like drag where you practice on moving your car side to side, or drift where you let your car drift can maneuvering with the brakes.
Entertaining:
The game is very entertaining when it comes to story mode. When you first start off, the events are pretty easy but get really hard as you progress through. I got stuck one time in the events when I had only completed 33% of story mode.
