My review for Sonic Advance
Whoa!! Look at that blue hedgehog go!
Title: Sonic Advance
Platform: Gameboy Advance
My Rating: 7.7/10
Gameplay:
In this game, you control sonic, amy, knuckles and tails in a quest to defeat Dr. Eggman and to foil his evil plot. You’ll start the game by choosing one of the four heroes and then start your quest by beatings different levels before the final confrontation with the evil doctor himself! The game also features a small choa garden where you can raise a baby chao.
Sound:
The sound and music in the game are different in each level. The music and pace describe each level with more suspense, as you get closer to the final fight. The music at times seem like it was created to entertain a 3 year-old.
Graphics:
The graphics are like that of the Genisis and Snes. The game would have looked like a remake if the game was created in the moldy-oldy times of the early Sega console.
Maneuvering:
Sonic and Knuckles move great in the game but the characters that are the most difficult are Amy since she can’t roll into a ball and Tails since all he can do is fly and isn’t really made for running like sonic. Sonic and Knuckles are so easy to control like for example, knuckles can glide when he’s really high in the air and sonic can run super fast.
Entertaining:
Sonic Advance might be entertaining for little kids and maybe for some older fans that like the cartoon show on 4kidsTV. Anyways, the game can get boring at times because you can’t pass a level or you get stuck. The only time I ever passed the game to the final fight with Eggman was with Tails since I just flew over the bad guys to the finish gate and with Sonic, which I got lucky and was able to beat the levels easily.
